QuickPlan for iPad is a sophisticated visual touch-enabled flight planning application designed to facilitate the creation of flight plans compatible with native FSX, FS2004, and X-Plane formats. It serves as an effective supplementary tool alongside the FSWidgets Navigator moving map application.

The route is constructed through an intuitive visual interface where users can tap on the map to designate departure points, intermediate waypoints, and the final destination, following the intended flight sequence. This approach streamlines the planning process by allowing route adjustments directly on the map.

Throughout the creation process, users have the flexibility to modify their plans; specifically, after adding the final arrival waypoint, they can remove any intermediate waypoints prior to saving. Flight plans are stored within the application's Documents directory, which is accessible via Finder on macOS or through iTunes File Sharing on Windows PCs. Additionally, integrated Dropbox support offers a convenient method for exporting and transferring flight plans to external devices.

The application has recently expanded its feature set to include 40 Aero Chart overlays and a comprehensive set of Worldwide Navigation Data icons (including airport, ILS, VOR, NDB, and fixes), enhancing situational awareness during planning.
